Who I Am

I'm an independent developer and maker behind the Pretorius Projects umbrella. I build web-based tools and platforms that aim to be useful, fast, and privacy-conscious. Every project you see here was designed, developed, and is maintained by me.

My work spans a range of interests from AI and content analysis to creative arts and utility tools. The common thread is a focus on clean design, real-world problem solving, and continuous improvement.

Philosophy

I believe in building things that work well. Not over-engineered, not bloated just effective tools that do what they say and do it fast. Some key principles:

• Ship it. A working project in the wild beats a perfect project on a hard drive.
• Keep it lean. Minimal dependencies, fast load times, simple interfaces.
• Respect users. Clear privacy practices, no dark patterns, honest communication.
• Iterate. Every project is a work in progress. Feedback drives improvement.

Tech Stack

I use a variety of technologies depending on what each project needs. Common choices include modern JavaScript frameworks, cloud hosting, AI/ML APIs, and scalable backend architectures. The stack always serves the product never the other way around.
